What would be your personal motto?: I always try to view events from a "glass half full" perspective.

How do you want people to remember you?: I want to be remembered as a good husband, father, grandfather, and a decent friend and neighbor.

What are three things still left on your bucket list?: I don't believe in bucket lists. They can lead to disappointment. After surviving cancer treatment, EVERYDAY IS A GIFT.

Who would you want to be stranded with on a deserted island? My husband! He’s smart as a whip and resourceful, so I’m certain he’d find food and keep us safe. Plus, he’d keep me entertained with his witty one-liners.

Ideally, how would you spend your birthday?

A day with my family at any Nebraska State Park followed by an evening laughing with my girlfriends.

What's your favorite story about yourself?

I accidentally wore two different shoes (one cleat and one tennis shoe) while playing in a State High School Softball Tournament.

What are you happiest doing, when you're not working?: Serving as a volunteer on the Live Well Go Fish pontoon really makes me happy. (Especially when my 88 year old mother is one of the passengers!)   I also am very happy fishing anywhere and especially with any of my 4 grandchildren.

What would be your personal motto?: I have 2 that I confiscated from Theodore Roosevelt.

  1. When you play, play hard. When you work, don’t play at all.

  2. Whenever you are asked if you can do a job, tell  ‘em “Certainly, I can!”  Then get busy and find out how to do it.

If you could be anywhere other than here, right this minute, where would you be?: On a lake or river fishing of course.

Who is someone you admire, and why? Alan Jackson - Because he took my favorite Bible verse 1st Corinthians 13:13 and turned it into a hit song to inspire our country when we needed it the most. Hope, Faith and Love are some great things he gave us……but the greatest is Love. (Where were you when the world stopped turning)

If you could have any one superpower, which would you choose?  Sonar of course!  Totally eliminates the need for depth finders on the boats.

If you could be anywhere other than here, right this minute, where would you be?  3 1/2 miles southeast of a rotating super cell storm in the Sand Hills of Nebraska at the intersection of 2 paved roads.
